Mountless surgery provides undeniable benefits for implant positioning, but it needs to be done using the right driver. Using an unsuitable instrument can cause both mechanical and biological problems, which could compromise the long-term result of prosthetic implant rehabilitation.

A clinical study carried out by University of Valencia, published in the Journal of Oral Implantology in 2015, analysed bacterial infiltration in implant platforms that had been inserted five years earlier using a mounter, operating on the corners of the implant connection (control group), compared to implants inserted using an Easy Insert driver (test group). The bacterial count of the test group was considerably lower, proving the effectiveness of Easy Insert in preserving the implant connection and limiting bacterial infiltration.
