Today, implants have assumed a prominent role in the replacements of single impaired teeth. This new clinical requirement has developed a highly sophisticated vision of implantology from the prosthetic point of view, in line with the changing aesthetic requests of patients, who now ask to be given a restoration that is perfectly integrated with the overall dental context, as it normally would be for a crown fitted on a natural post. Use of the new PRAMA implant allows us to manage peri-implant soft tissues better, thanks to the shape of the transgingival neck and the supragingival positioning of the implant/abutment interface, and it also makes it possible to create a prosthesis in accordance with the indications of the biologically oriented preparation technique (B.O.P.T.). The movement of the connection away from the bone level mitigates and even eliminates the problem of bacterial management at this level, going beyond the concept of Platform Switching and promoting optimal bone integrity around the fixture. This new implant is therefore distinctly beneficial for the health of hard and soft tissues, for the long-term stability of these tissues, and for the simplification of all prosthetic phases, including the cementation of the fixture, always a pertinent and delicate problem in this treatment phase.
