The evolution of implants in dentistry is in constant development, with the aim of improving the performance and final results of treatment plans. In both immediate and deferred loading, soft tissue management can be a delicate and difficult process, above all when bone profiles after remodelling are no longer physiologically capable of supporting the soft tissues.
The possibility of approaching implant techniques adopting the concepts of the Biologically Oriented Preparation Technique (B.O.P.T.) can simplify and give extremely satisfactory results. Currently, the possibility therefore of managing soft tissue healing by exploiting a particular implant geometry and the B.O.P.T. approach for a temporary crown offers us an excellent clinical alternative to simplify and improve peri-implant soft tissue management.
