iPex II provides a clear and accurate view of the file tip’s position on its large LCD display
Three-color LCD display
- When the file is inserted into the root canal, a bar graph displays its progress. The position of the bar reflects the file’s location as it advances.
- As the tip of the file approaches the root apex (≈ 0.5), the bar graph turns blue and the audible signal increases in intensity and speed, alerting the user that the file is entering the precision zone of approximately 0.5 mm.
- When the tip of the file reaches the top, the display shows 0.0 and the beep becomes continuous.
- If the tip of the file passes the apex, the unit emits a rapid, continuous beep, and the display shows "APEX" in red and "OA" (Over Apex) in blue.
