PLENA

Biotechnology for tissue and bone regeneration

PLENA is a line of resorbable membranes made from highly purified porcine collagen, designed to provide clinicians with reliable and versatile solutions for regenerative surgery. Thanks to advanced manufacturing technology, resorption times are tailored to meet various clinical needs and surgical applications, ensuring the right balance between efficacy and ease of use.

PLENA

A collagen membrane derived from purified intact porcine dermis. It ensures excellent integration with surrounding tissues and predictable long-term performance. The natural structure of the dermis provides mechanical stability and a perfect balance between protection and regeneration.

Reabsorption

6-9 MONTHS

Applications

Socket preservation;

bone reconstruction;

GBR which, due to the intrinsic characteristics of the defect or the general condition of the patient, requires slow resorption of the membrane.

PLENA

Purified porcine peritoneum collagen membrane. Its structure allows macromolecules and nutrients to pass through while maintaining an effective barrier against cell migration. Flexible and durable, it is ideal in situations requiring adaptability and resorption control.
Reabsorption

3-4 MONTHS

Applications

pre-implant bone regeneration procedures;

perimplant bone regeneration, both immediate and delayed post-extraction;

periodontal regeneration (GTR).

PLENA and PLENA SYRINGE

Biomaterial in granules of highly purified carbonate-apatite from porcine cancellous bone. Its structure, similar to that of autologous bone, promotes physiological remodeling and harmonious resorption, superior to synthetic materials. The high porosity and rough surface of the granules stimulate cell adhesion, accelerate osteoclastic activity, and promote the formation of new bone tissue. The range of macropores is between 0.1 mm and 1.0 mm.

Reabsorption

6-9 MONTHS

Plena , a porcine cancellous bone graft, is now available in a convenient syringe format that offers excellent handling characteristics.

Applications

reconstruction and augmentation of the alveolar ridge;

filling of periodontal, post-surgical, or post-extraction bone defects (socket preservation);

maxillary sinus floor elevation;

Treatment of peri-implant and periodontal defects in combination with membranes or products for GBR/GTR.

PLENA

Composite bone graft plug.
Plena is a calcium phosphate-based mineral with a synthetic carbonate apatite structure, similar to that of natural bone. The structural similarity between the mineral in Plena and natural inorganic bone allows it to replicate the bone resorption and remodeling characteristics observed in vivo.
Reabsorption

9-12 MONTHS

Applications

easy to use in post-extraction sites treated with composite plugs;

expands to fill the alveolar site once hydrated;

the mineral particles remain contained within the bone defect;

Available in two sizes, packaged in convenient sets of five pieces.

PLENA DRESSING FOAM

Absorbable dressing for wound protection.
Plena is an absorbent, porous collagen matrix derived from purified bovine dermal collagen.
Reabsorption

30 DAYS

Applications

apply directly to the wound;

protects the wound and newly formed tissue;

promotes wound healing;

available in bandage, foam, and plug formats;

Supplied sterile, non-pyrogenic, and single-use.
